"Fallow Field Mad Dogs"

Baby-faced Jack Brown, Jamie Dunne & Remi Sarge - who were aged just 15 and 16 - wore masks and were armed with machetes, axes, swords and pitchforks when they carried out a series of terrifying robberies at houses in south Manchester to force the occupants to hand over keys for their cars.

Oct 19, 2010  Manchester Evening News

A gang of schoolboy burglars used 'horror movie style' violence to terrorize people in their own homes and force them to hand over the keys to their luxury cars.

Baby-faced Jack Brown, Jamie Dunne and Remi Sarge wore masks and were armed with machetes, axes, swords and pitchforks when they carried out a series of raids in south Manchester.

In one horrific attack the victim said their ordeal was similar to a scene from the horror movie 'The Shining'.

Today the MEN can name the three yobs - all linked to the street gang Fallowfield Mad Dogs at the time of the burglaries - after we asked a judge at Manchester Crown Court to overturn a section 39 order which protected their identity.

The court heard how Brown and Sarge were just 15 when they took part in raids where householders were woken up in the early hours by the masked intruders wielding their weapons.

A number of the victims were badly beaten even though they made no attempt to refuse the burglars’ demands.

One victim was struck in the head by a machete as she cowered behind a door.

She told police it was like a scene from The Shining – the iconic film where Jack Nicholson smashes through a hotel door with an axe.

The woman and her boyfriend made a harrowing 999 call as they tried to flee the raiders who stole a VW Golf from their home in Fallowfield.

Another woman was dragged around the house by her hair, and in another attack a naked man was forced outside and ordered to start his car.

Sarge, 16, of Sopwith Drive, Fallowfield; Brown, 16, of Playfair Street, Rusholme, and Dunne, 17, of Barnston Avenue, Fallowfield, were each sentenced to four-and-half years in a young offenders’ institution after admitting conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary between March and August last year.

Dunne admitted direct involvement in two raids, while Brown and Sarge admitted taking part in one each.

However, police believe the gang were responsible for at least 12 robberies, and it is understood that a number of their accomplices have not yet been brought to justice.

In one burglary in Fallowfield in July, the victim awoke to find a man waving an axe over his bed after being hit on the leg with it.

After handing over the keys to his BMW the victim was told that his toes would be cut off unless he started the car, before being forced outside naked.

The man’s housemate was woken up by two men bursting into his room carrying a foot-long chef’s knife and a machete.

He was told to keep his head down on the pillow or his ‘eyes would be cut out’. The men were subjected to vile abuse before the yobs escaped with a BMW and electrical goods. The keys to the BMW were later found in Sarge’s garden shed.

Later that month a family was terrorised by three masked men, including Dunne and Sarge, at their Fallowfield home.

An elderly man was slashed on the head and had his watch cut from his wrist by a sword, before the gang fled in the family’s Range Rover.

In another incident involving Brown, the thugs smashed down a woman’s locked bedroom door in Fallowfield before dragging her downstairs by her hair.

The woman and her brother were then beaten up by the gang, who took electrical goods and a new Ford Focus.

In another Fallowfield burglary a man and his girlfriend were subjected to what he described as ‘unbelievable’ violence by the raiders, who included Dunne.

On August 16, the man’s birthday, he woke up to hear loud banging as three men burst into his home and charged up the stairs. The man’s girlfriend rang police as she barricaded herself behind the bedroom door.

She was cut on the head when a machete came through the door and her screams were captured on a harrowing 999 tape. Later she and her partner were both attacked with baseball bats before the gang escaped with a Volkswagen Golf.

The court heard the gang are also thought to be responsible for an earlier raid at the house next door, where a Ruth Fleming and her boyfriend Alex O'Reilly were terrorised with a pitchfork and a knife before an Audi A3 was stolen.

Sentencing, the trio, snared by a 'commendable' police investigation, Judge David Hernandez said: “Summary does not adequately express the sheer horror of these incidents as described in the witness statements", adding that he had ‘no doubt’ the defendants ‘enjoyed’ the violence.

Usually, the identity of young defendants is shielded.

But following an application by the MEN, Judge Hernandez said that the ‘grave crimes’ caused ‘considerable distress to householders’, and that it would be ‘entirely proper’ for the defendants to be identified as a deterrent to others.

Following the sentence victim Mr O'Reilly, 33, said: "I just think it is great that they have been caught and sentenced - often nothing happens. It was over a year ago and we are now trying to put it behind us."

Ruth left Manchester University to study at a different University after the attack and the couple now live in London. Alex said: "The attack and robbery was one of the reasons why she decided o leave."

Fallow Field Cassettes

Recent discovery (for me) of an incredible tape label which seems to press 100 copies of each release.
Run by a fellow named JW aka: Black Church, God Is Black, Grinning Death's Head, Order Of Nine Angels, Voltur, Zombie Messiah and in groups:Branks, Crooked Cross, Death Cult Suicide, Draiothe, Graveyard Wanderers, Trampling The Cross Under Foot, 性交.

The majority of these rips came from a blog On The Board which I highly recommend keeping track of as this guy has great choices in music selection revolving around black metal & power electronics/ noise. I believe the remainder came from the blog Metallic Imagery

I have taken the liberty of downloading albums/ artwork, re-tagging the files properly, & using Spek (an Acoustic Spectrum Analyser) to check for transcodes.
